JUNIOR UMPIRE MENTORING

Once players reach the age of 15 they are encouraged to develop skills that would enable them to umpire. It is not expected that inexperienced players should do this on their own, our club has developed a buddy scheme whereby young umpires are paired with more experienced club members to teach them the necessary skills. All girls are encouraged to undertake accredited courses.

The next Level 1 Umpiring courses STNA are conducting are:

Course 1: Tuesday 8 March 2011 6-10pm

Course 2: Monday 13 June 2011 2-6pm

Where: Glass Room, Aurora Sports Stadium

Cost: Karana pays half of the course costs for members.

It is a requirement to have a current exam pass certificate if you wish to attend these courses.

Registration forms are available from the STNA website at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  Please let our Umpiring Coordinator know if you are registering for either of these courses.

There are practical and theory courses held at Creek Road on a regular basis. You can also undertake an Introduction to Officiatingand the level 1 Exam online free of charge.

Once you have received your certificate, it would be great if you could forward it to us.
