UMPIRING PAYMENT PLAN 2011

This year Karana is implementing a new payment system for umpires. Due to the significant increase in teams our Club receives up to 20 and sometimes more umpiring allocations every Saturday. Each team from U/15s through to Women's Grades is required to provide umpires throughout the season, thus each player will be required to do two umpiring duties in a season. If you do not wish to do your two umpiring duties you will be required to pay $24.00 to the Club to cover the cost of providing umpires. Please let your Coach know as soon as possible if you will be unable to do your umpiring duties for 2011, then pay your $24.00 to either your Coach or to our Treasurer so that you name is removed from the umpiring allocations list for 2011.

For those willing to do their umpiring duties an added incentive is the payment system which awards you an amount per game which recognises the qualifications you may have achieved.

$8.00 per game will be paid for those having passed a recent online umpiring exam. (the link for this exam is on the homepage. $10.00 per game will be paid for those having completed a Level 1 Umpiring Course in the last 3 years. $12.00 per game will be paid for those holding a current A, B or C Badge. STNA also makes payment of $12.00 for badged umpires so that the total for a Badged Umpire will be

$24.00 per game. Payments will be made on a monthly basis and will be required to be collected and signed for from the Umpiring Convenor, Maureen D'Abate.
